Quinnipiac’s winless streak at 9

Adam Estoclet’s goal with 15 minutes, 33 seconds left in the final period lifted the Dartmouth men’s hockey team to a 4-3 win Friday night over Quinnipiac at Hanover, N.H.

Dustin Walsh added two goals for Dartmouth (6-14-0). Eric Lampe, Spencer Heichman and Russell Goodman each scored for the Bobcats (13-11-2), who are winless in their last nine games.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Yale 58, Penn 51: Freshman Megan Vasquez led the Yale with 16 points, and junior Mady Gobrecht had seven points, nine rebounds and five assists, in an Ivy League victory over Penn at Philadelphia, Pa.

Joining Vasquez in double figures for the Bulldogs (7-10, 2-1) was junior Yoyo Greenfield, who netted 14 points.

women’s hockey

Rensselaer 1, Quinnipiac 0: Freshman goaltender Victoria Vigilanti recorded 24 saves in net but the Bobcats lost this ECAC victory at Troy, N.Y.

The Bobcats’ defense highlighted the first two periods. The team blocked a total of 14 shots through the first 40 minutes of play, and killed off four consecutive penalties to keep the Engineers off the board.

Defensemen Regan Boulton and Bethany Dymarczyk led the way in blocked shots, as they each denied four attempts for Quinnipiac (13-8-6, 6-4-5).
