First lawsuit filed in Middletown explosion (doc)
HARTFORD — Two of the workers injured in the recent 620-megawatt power plant explosion in Midddletown filed a lawsuit today in Superior Court against O&G Industries, Keystone Construction & Maintenance Services and Kleen Energy Systems for allegedly negligently failing to supervise the purging process that caused a deadly blast on Feb. 7.
The complaint, filed by Stratton Faxon Law Firm on behalf of the plaintiffs and their families, cites the defendants for failing to contain the natural gas being purged from the massive gas lines and negligently allowing gas to escape, become ignited and causing the massive explosion tht killed six, injured at least 26 and was felt throughout the state.
