SOUNDOFF: Your opinion on postal problems
Do you use an alternative to the post office?
There should be no alternatives to the Postal Service. I do not believe in paying bills online.
Lou

I still use the regular mail. Unfortunately, e-mails have taken jobs away.

Delores

Roy
Wallingford
I will say I was pleased to hear the East Haven post office will remain open.
Ron

I do not feel the USPS’s financial crisis happened overnight. It is due to being top-heavy and years of wasteful spending. A lot of medicine is shipped via the post office, and customers cannot afford to lose a day waiting for their medicine, such as insulin.
Donna
West Haven
Don’t believe a word the post office tells you. Every year, it seems the post office is losing billions of dollars.
Al
North Branford
No. How can I? I don’t use a computer.
Caroline
North Branford
No, and I still buy a newspaper and read it every day.
Jean
Milford
In an age of text messages and faxes, the post office is just too slow.
Jim
West Haven
I only use e-mail.
Stan

I use the Internet to pay my bills. The post office should charge junk mailers more.
Barb
New Haven
Unlike the bloggers and Twitterers, I am "married" to the post office.
Bea

The post office is all I have. This is not a time to be thinking about cutting the service, especially during tax season.
Larry
Madison
No. Is this how Obama creates job?
George

We use online bill paying quite a bit.
