Girl, 2, 'critical' after falling into Shelton pool
SHELTON — A 2-year-old girl remained in critical condition today in the intensive care unit at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital after falling into a pool Wednesday at 32 Ladas Place, police Detective Ben Trabka said.
Jaylene Whitmore fell off a deck into an above-ground pool. A 911 call about a child not breathing came in at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
The child’s grandfather started CPR on her, police said.
