Man charged with threatening Conn. woman he met on Craigslist

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — A 28-year-old man who police believe has threatened several women he met on Craigslist has been arraigned in Connecticut in a case involving a Greenwich woman.

Authorities in Illinois arrested Randall Mason on Aug. 5 and Greenwich police brought him back to Connecticut on Wednesday. He was arraigned on threatening and harassment charges in Stamford Superior Court on Thursday and is detained on $225,000 bail.

Police allege Mason threatened and harassed a Greenwich woman several times after she ended their relationship. Authorities also believe Mason, who’s address is unknown, victimized at least six other women, mostly in Connecticut and New York.

Other police agencies have warrants for his arrest on various charges.

A message was left for Mason’s public defender Friday.
