‰East Haven: The Hagaman Memorial Library, 227 Main St., annual holiday Food for Fines food drive for the East Haven Food Pantry at Christ and Epiphany Church through Dec. 31. During this month, library patrons may return overdue library materials, and in lieu of monetary fines, they may bring in one nonperishable food item per overdue material. ‰Hamden: The Academy of Kempo Martial Arts, 1890 Dixwell Ave., is offering students a free semi-private lesson for any five or more nonperishable items they donate, and offering two weeks of free lessons to non-students. Call 203-288-9990 or visit www.academyofkempo.com.
‰Hamden: The Dunbar Hill Volunteer Fire Association Inc. is holding a toy drive. Drop off new, unwrapped toys from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Dunbar Hill Fire House, 420 Dunbar Hill Road, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Hindinger Farm, 810 Dunbar Hill Road.
‰Milford: William Raveis, 179 N. Broad St., is holding a food drive through Monday at the office. Canned good and nonperishables can be dropped off in the box near front entrance.
‰Milford: The Milford Elks Post 1589 is collecting money to buy, pack and deliver food baskets to the less-fortunate, as well as for a Christmas day dinner for the lonely, homeless, needy and elderly. ‰West Haven: Cub Scout Pack 369 of Washington Elementary School is holding a food drive for the West Haven Emergency Assistance Task Force through Friday. ‰West Haven: Stone Academy is holding a clothing and diaper drive Thursday for Beacon On The Hill Clothes Closet on Jones Hill Road and Beacon On The Hill’s Diaper Bank. Secondhand child and adult clothing in good, clean condition and disposable diapers may be dropped off at the campus at 560 Saw Mill Road.
