LAURENT FIRLOTTE — Hopkins basketball
The senior guard scored a school-record 40 points, going 18-for-20 from the free-throw line, and added 15 rebounds and four assists in a 80-67 win over Rye (N.Y.). Firlotte then had 21 points and 10 rebounds in a 71-60 loss to Hamden Hall.
HONOR ROLL
Chris Gibbs, Amistad Academy basketball: The senior forward had 30 points and 11 rebounds in a 70-53 win over Goodwin Tech and 23 points in a 78-51 win over Whitney Tech.
Brian Manes, Law wrestling: The senior 120-pounder went 5-0 last week, including a 4-0 mark to win the Woodstock Inviational. He also notched the 100th win of his career.
