It wasn’t about the money. The University of Connecticut decided that its women’s basketball team had outgrown Connecticut Public Television, its broadcast home for 18 seasons. It has dumped CPTV for SportsNet New York, a premium cable channel that is carried in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. SNY already broadcasts games of the university’s football team and men’s basketball team. Read Story

The New Haven Board of Aldermen held a hearing this month on the proposed development of 100 College St. by Winstanley Enterprises. The proposed building would house laboratories for biotech research. It is central to the city’s Downtown Crossing plan to develop the Route 34 corridor. Read Story
